The first and most important thing to know about Windows 7 Starter edition is that it is exclusively for use on small notebook computer (a.k.a. a netbook). Windows 7 Starter edition is simpler and easier than other edition of Windows 7.
Can we run as many applications simultaneously on Windows 7 Starter?
The answer is yes. On Windows 7 Starter edition you can run as many applications simultaneously as you would like. Unlike the other Starter editions of Windows, such as with Windows XP and again with Windows Vista where you've the limitations, such as being able to run only 3 concurrent applications on a Computer at a time (this excludes background processes such as anti-virus software, Blue-tooth, wireless and system tools like Control Panel and Explorer).
Windows 7 Starter Features
The Windows 7 Starter edition includes only a subset of the features offered in the higher editions of Windows 7 such as Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. Windows 7 Starter does not include the following features:
